A Hong Kong platform for SEN families

Finding answers
should not be this hard.

Actually Answered brings together a parent community and a SEN service directory, so you can ask questions, compare services, and learn from other families in one place.

WhyWhy Actually Answered

Every SEN family's journey is different,
yet many parents face similar challenges.

Too much information, hard to choose

Parents often search for assessments, training, and support across different platforms. With so much information, it can be hard to know where to start or how to compare options.

Feeling alone on the parenting journey

Caring for a SEN child can sometimes feel overwhelming. Parents want to connect with others who share similar experiences, to share and support one another.

Finding the right support for your child

Faced with different courses, therapies, and services, parents may wonder which options truly fit their child's needs.

How Actually Answered helps

Actually Answered brings the parent community and curated service information together on one platform, so parents can learn from other families and understand support options more easily — walking alongside them with information and peer connection.

AboutWhat is Actually Answered

Actually Answered is an online platform designed for parents and caregivers of children with special educational needs (SEN) in Hong Kong.

It combines a parent community with a SEN service directory, helping families support each other and more easily find services that suit their child's needs.

Our purpose

When looking for support, SEN parents often spend a great deal of time searching for information, comparing services, and judging what to trust.

Actually Answered brings together practical resources, parent experiences, and service information, so parents can find what they need more easily and choose support with confidence — accompanying families through every stage of growth.

The student team

The platform was developed in collaboration between ISV Lab and undergraduates of the HKU Bachelor of Social Sciences (Government & Laws) and LLB programmes, and is free for parents and caregivers.
